  • Trained in Science of Reading methodology through the Baltimore City Teaching Residency. 
  • Developed interdisciplinary curriculum units in accordance with the mandates of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB-PYP).

Completed 6-month internship (later extended to 9-months) in museum education at Smithsonian Institution.
  • Developed a 33-page differentiated K–12 educators' guide for the Lakota Winter Count digital collection at the National Museum of Natural History, in collaboration with Lakota tribal consultants, ethnologists, archivists, and museum educators.
  • The project received the 2005 World Summit Award (UN) in Culture & Heritage, SDG 4: Quality Education.​
  • Wrote successful grant applications for extended internship funding.
