CURRICULUM DESIGN
I have spent most of my life in rooms where the official curriculum and the actual learning were doing two completely different things — and I have always been more interested in the gap between them. Is the gap unintentional? Is it structural?
My training is in anthropology and museum education, which means I was taught to ask whose knowledge counts, how it gets transmitted, and what gets lost in translation. That question has followed me from archaeological field schools in Belize to Smithsonian archives to Title I classrooms in Baltimore, and it shapes everything I create.
I also happen to be a graphic designer, which means I think about how information moves through space and sequence before a single word gets written. That's not a separate skill set — it's the same instinct applied to a different surface. It also makes me a stronger team member.
