My first published piece! A review of Richard Sandell's edited anthology Museums, Society, Inequality (Routledge, 2002), published in The Courier, the newsletter of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums, Winter/Spring 2004. The book emerged from a Leicester conference on social inclusion in museums; the eighteen essays it compiles argue for museums as agents of social change. The review was commissioned for professional publication while I was still a graduate student.
