After graduating from Dartmouth, I moved to Los Angeles and got my first job as an assistant editor for directories at Tradeshow Week, a B2B periodical owned by Reed Business Information. When the graphic artist position became available, I was promoted.

Soon after, I was invited to interview for a position on the creative team in the marketing department of a sister publication, Variety and Daily Variety. I started as a junior graphic designer and moved up to full graphic designer, creating ad material for prospective advertisers and in-house marketing collateral.
