Library of Congress Self-guide

Project type

Self Teaching Guide

Date

2003

Location

Washington, D.C.

While in graduate school, I was tasked with designing a Self Teaching Guide for the museum of the Library of Congress. While there, I was drawn to the illustrations on display. This self-guide, along with tour brochure, enable visitors to immerse themselves in Jefferson's cognitive universe. Includes digital illustrations drawn myself.

The page with Gamb's "No Work" got lost somewhere along the journey through 20 years (so no Cloud) and 5 computers.

Skills: Self-guided visitor experience design · Interpretive planning · Visual analysis scaffolding · American history content · Pre/post reflection structure · Affective questioning · Descriptive-reflective-synthetic (DRS) framework · Formative assessment design · Graphic design
