After returning to the D.C. area, I was hired as an in-house graphic designer for the American Advertising Federation. I managed a small offset print shop with two staff members and was responsible for maintaining the graphic identity of the organization in all its administrative, editorial, and marketing materials. I was promoted to Creative Director at my first review.
